Our Classes
Maison Magenta currently offers weekly burlesque and burlesque chair classes in Halstead, Colchester and Braintree, with more coming soon. Classes are run as courses with students learning technique and a full routine over each one.
Classes are suitable for ladies of all ages (18+), sizes shapes, and abilities from complete beginners to experienced performers.
We have a focus on female empowerment, body positivity and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone can be their true self.
All classes and workshops are taught by professional performers and dance teachers with experience and knowledge of the burlesque world, offering high-quality tips and techniques to students.
Maison Magenta also host regular workshops for both students and those who don’t currently dance with us.
Hen-dos and occasions
Are you looking for a fun, cheeky way to celebrate your or a friend’s hen-do? Maison Magenta offers a variety of different packages to suit all groups of hens. From pop-up performances to learning your very own burlesque routine, we can tailor our parties to every individual group – you can even choose what song you learn a dance to!
Want to take it to the next level? Why not add a photo shoot to the party? After learning how to pose like a showgirl, and feeling empowered after your burlesque lesson, strike a pose in front of the camera with TwinkleTime Photography. This is the perfect way to create lasting memories from your special day.
Not getting married? Don’t let that stop you from booking a party with your best girls! Our packages can be booked for all kinds of occasions or just for the fun of it!
Our ethos
At Maison Magenta we are all about building each other up. All of our events are positive and about learning to love ourselves as we are and appreciating the amazing things we do day to day.
Ladies come to us for all different kinds of reasons. Some want to rekindle an old love of dance through learning a new style, some want to perform in shows, others want to make friends with like-minded ladies and many want to gain confidence and feel sexy in their own skin.
